Building a successful freelance career is anything but fast, but if you get into a habit of making simple changes, over time, you’ll be amazed at what you can develop.
Freelancing is like planting a garden–Getting healthful, edible food means you have to go through a process of watering, fertilizing, turning soil, managing pests (there’s more, but it’s been a while since I tried my hand at growing things).
All those things…you don’t do them just once. You do them in cycles…over and over again until your garden is healthy and thriving. This is why we do something similar with our members at BlackFreelance.
Every month, the majority of our work and activities are dedicated to one specific topic that is foundational to your freelance career. Everyone is welcome to read and comment on the articles and other content that works in the theme, but our members put everything into practice as they work through the Freelance Fundamentals, which includes monthly goals, helpful weekly emails, and participate in Q&As to really push them forward in each of these 6 areas…
- Building A Great Web Presence
- Getting More Clients
- Keeping My Clients Happy
- Developing My Freelance Skills
- Leveraging My Social Presence
- Understanding Income and Assessing My Freelance Life
I want to invite you to work along with us, check out some of the previous months (in the links above) and, when you’re ready, join in with hundreds of other freelancers (it’s really affordable and you get to try things out free for your first month) in our community to get your freelance career moving as quickly as possible.
