So LinkedIn ProFinder has been interesting. In the past 2 weeks I’ve gotten 3 requests for proposals, but they give you SUCH a small amount of information it’s ridiculous. Like this…
No responses yet, but we’ll see. It’s convenient for sure since you get notifications of new jobs in your field straight to your inbox.
Referrals have been the best way so far. Other than that, Twitter is fun for me. I think most of my clients in the past 3 months have been from Twitter. The rest have been referrals. One from Facebook.
I’ve gotten a few responses on LinkedIn, but yeah the information on each job is usually non-existent. Is that normal?

Ya know…I JUST got another ProFinder notice (this is my 6th I believe…it’s picked up lately) and it was a bit better on info. It looks like they leave a lot of room for posters to decide how much info they want to share. I’m wondering if they give people a little tutorial on how to work with freelancers, because minimal info is an immediate turnoff for me.
Twitter’s been great for me…maybe not in generating leads, but it definitely moves people along the sales process.
