Some keep the lights on, others just add on a little extra spending money. Some keep you engaged and interested with challenging new projects, others are just check boxes on your to-do list.
As a freelancer, you have a responsibility to yourself to stay tangibly aware of the kind of value clients bring you…which is honestly pretty simple to do. As an extension of the last post on a simple framework to keep your clients happy, I wanted to give you a free spreadsheet to download (below). Simply fill it out for each of your clients, and check in quarterly at the very least. I’m betting you’ll see some surprises when it comes to how pay relates to your perception of benefit.
