Podcast editing can be a pain, and it’s something a lot of people are bad at or flat out intimidated by (I’ve done it, and I’d pay to never have to do it again)…but it’s also something I’m sure a lot of Black music producers and artists could do great work on…your editing skills could be a source of supplemental income. (Check out services like Podcast Motor if you’re wondering what I’m talking about.)
You could even offer your own music as background and intro audio options (and improve on the quality of some of the awful music options people already have) As you grow, you could partner with marketing and thought-leadership companies and even growing personal brands…seeing as podcasts are growing in Black media spaces, it could be something to jump on if someone can figure out the right price point and service offerings.
If you’re interested in talking out some of the potential, check out our general forum (that come along with our free membership) and we can get a discussion started.
Just a thought…
Megan.
